    635 hp and 780 Nm in the visually discreet MH4 600

    The image of a typical MANHART conversion that is ingrained in the minds of tuning fans usually shows a visually and technically extensive complete conversion: large rims, often body attachments made of carbon and, of course, above all the characteristic set of decals with lettering and decorative stripes ensure that the vehicles are sure to attract attention. We have already realised several conversions based on this scheme – from the MH3 600 to the MH3 GTR and the MH4 GTR II. But the eye-catching, extroverted appearance is not to everyone’s taste and in this case, too, we naturally offer the right solution. Because components from our portfolio can of course also be selected individually or combined in any configuration – as the MH4 600 presented here underlines.

    The coupé, which is based on the G82 M4 Competition, is visually only very subtly refined. For example, the aforementioned decorative kit has been completely dispensed with, as have the retrofitted MANHART rims. Instead, the car continues to stand on OEM BMW wheels: To be more precise, these are Styling 1000 M forged wheels from the M Performance Parts range, finished in a striking matt gold bronze and measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear. The carbon front spoiler lip and the carbon side skirts also come from the same range. The distinctive radiator grille inserts, the side wing inserts and the rear diffuser – also all made of carbon – are meanwhile from our portfolio. The interior of the sporty two-door model also remained in its already very attractive standard condition with plenty of carbon elements.

    With regard to the optimisation of the three-litre S58 biturbo engine, on the other hand, we were allowed to let off steam: Thanks to the installation of an MHtronik auxiliary control unit, the straight six-cylinder engine was boosted from its standard 510 hp and 650 Nm to a whopping 635 hp and 780 Nm of maximum torque. As a result, the MH4 600 accelerates from a standstill to 200 km/h in just 10.5 seconds. The intermediate sprint from 100 to 200 km/h is completed in 6.42 seconds. On the exhaust side, the Coupé has our stainless steel exhaust system. On the model now on display, it leads into four ceramic-coated 100 mm tailpipe trims. Alternatively, carbon coated pipes are available. To round things off, there is a choice of MANHART downpipes Race without catalytic converters or MANHART downpipes Sport with 300-cell GESI catalytic converters. However, just like the OPF Delete replacement pipes with 200-cell HJS catalytic converters and the OPF/GPF Deleter, both variants do not have TÜV approval and are therefore only intended for export.

    When it comes to optimising the suspension, the G82 M4 offers a choice between MANHART lowering using H&R springs or the MANHART coilover suspension Variant 4 by KW. This results not only in a refined appearance, but also – especially in the latter case – in significantly optimised driving dynamics. Last but not least, the sturdy BMW carbon ceramic brake system, which is fitted ex works at extra cost, remains unchanged.
